Cheri “Cherri-Oats” Venturi is known as the “Wig Lady” that helps on a “bad hair day” or as the clown that lived in New Orleans, and now resides in Chesterfield, MO just outside of St. Louis. BCO (Before Cherri-Oats), she taught school for over 25 years. Her degree is in Education from Marquette University. She has lectured at both COAI and WCA conventions, as well as numerous regional conferences and alley meetings. She is currently Past President of Clowns of America International (Director at Large), has been a white-face clown for 19 years. Cheri is a terrific storyteller, face painter and clown arts teacher

Psychology of Working with Children Ages 1-8 - “How to Keep Ones Step Ahead” How to include activities that are age appropriate. How to adjust activities without using a U-Haul to bring in your show. Using music in your presentations, as background music as well as interactive play. Planning age-related activities to minimizes the stress on you as well as the children. Good suggestions on controlling any situation.

Beginning Makeup (Hands On) - This is a fun demonstration for beginners on how to apply clown make up. We will be demonstrating the basic clown faces. Should you want to apply your make up at the same time, please feel free to bring your own make-up. If you already have a face but would like it critiqued at the end of class, come and apply your make up while the demo is going on. You do not have to apply make up but you are encouraged to at least try some of the techniques while you are there. You will need white grease paint, some baby powder, Q-tips, and a white sock to practice powdering. Everyone is welcome but this class will concentrate on the beginners
