Dave “Mr. Rainbow” Bartlett started clowning in 1981… “red nose” clowning that is. The more I clowned, the more I wanted to clown. In 1988 I quit my real job as a high school teacher to just clown. I didn’t stop teaching though. I wrote articles on clowning for Funny Paper, LaughMakers, The New Calliope, and Clowning Around. I wrote the books Behind The Big Red Nose, and The Clown Star. Balloons? 10 DVDs enough for you?

Classes:
HealthCare Clowning - How clowning fits into the different health care environments. What are the hospitals looking for? Why they may not want you even for free. Why they may find funds to pay you for your work even if you never ask. What kinds of things you can do in different settings. Based on over 20 years experience clowning at UNC hospital, Duke Hospital, rest homes, adult day cares, alzheimer wards.

Quick and Impressive Balloons - Balloons quick enough for you to have in your normal daily repertoire, but impressive enough to get that elusive “oooooooooohhhhhh” reaction. Emphasis is on technique and the little touches that make all the difference… and most importantly, presentation tips.
